Standards on Music Royalties of Chinese radio and TV stations Are Expected Next Year

It is reported that the royalty issue of the Chinese broadcasting stations and TV stations (except those originally created) is on a freeway for solution. The methods and standards are being drawn up by the Office of Legislative Affairs of the State Council and are expected to be officially promulgated next year. Due to the absence of the collection standards, the collection scale to the whole broadcasting and TV system is still unknown. It is predicted according to the implemented standard in Hong Kong that tens of billions Yuan could be collected in royalties each year.
