China and Germany reached a consensus on Intellectual Property protection, trade and economy cooperation
August 8, 2007The 13th Session of Sino-Germany Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation was held in Beijing on June 27, 2007. The two sides communicated on Sino-Germany cooperation of the coal, coal mine safety, commercial law, trade statistics and standardization matters, reached consensus on a number of issues and signed on session summary.
The consensus includes Intellectual Property protection, promoting balanced bilateral trade development, encouraging investment and participation to the development of industrial estate in Northeast China.
Bo Xilai, PRC Minister of Commerce and Michael Glos, German Federal Minister of Economics chaired the meeting. Bo positively evaluated the developments since the 12th Session in November 2005. Bo said that the two sides’ cooperation was on the prosperity phase, continued cooperation on material issues was of high importance.
