New Round of Pilot Financing Program for IPR Pledging Launched
August 30, 2009SIPO launched another round of pilot financing program for IPR pledging in September, allowing six local IP administrations to execute the program in their regions. This is evidence of the furthering progress of the nationwide financing program for IPR pledging after SIPO’s inaugural efforts in 2008. The new round of pilot programs started from September 2009 and will last for 3 years.
According to the requirements of the new rounds of work, all localities will strengthen the coordination between organizations, give full play to the effects of governmental departments, financial institutions, trade associations and intermediary organizations to promote the capitalization and industrialization of IPR, and provide IPR support for the local economic and social development.
It is understood that, since the pilot financing program of IPR was launched, the pilot units researched in-depth the financing demands for intellectual property pledging, conscientiously studied and adopted corresponding supportive measures to continuously improve the market environment of intellectual property pledge for financing, and initially established a working mechanism of “government guidance, enterprises to participate and market-oriented operation.” This has effectively helped a number of innovative SMEs to achieve industrial restructuring and tide over the economic crisis.
