(the Plaintiff) recently won the lawsuit against Beilian Computer Company in Huludao City, Liaoning Province and Huludao South Beauty Restaurant (the Defendants) for trademark infringement and unfair competition. After interrogation in court, the Intermediate People’s Court of Huludao City held the view that the Plaintiff has used the trademark “South Beauty” for six years and is continuously expanding its business with dozens of branch companies in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and etc; during this period, the Plaintiff has input great amount of expenses for advertising “South Beauty” in various media; the trademark “South Beauty” has established high reputation and fame among the relevant consumers, and become a well-known trademark in the filed of food and drink industries; the business act of the Defendants has constituted trademark infringement and unfair competition. Accordingly, the court orders that the Defendants indemnify the Plaintiff’s economic loss as decided by the verdict.
